Featured as a 2024 Aiga Flux Student Design Competition Poster Finalist
I was given the opportunity to design a poster for a fictional film festival for the OSU Film Club, highlighting the film movement, Cinema Novo. This poster embodies Cinema Novo’s raw, fragmented aesthetic, reflecting Brazil’s social and political turmoil in the 1960s-70s. The image of a man silencing another symbolizes censorship and oppression, central themes of the movement. Disjointed elements highlight the fractured society, while red signifies struggle and yellow represents hope for a better future. This final poster was designed to be folded perfectly into a 12 page page program to be handed to guests at the festival.
